Qinter — secure lost & found

Problem

A lost-and-found service only works if a finder can prove what they hold and an owner can prove it is theirs — without publishing enough detail for a stranger to claim it.

Approach

A claim protocol built around withheld identifying detail: the listing shows enough to be recognised and not enough to be described, and the match is completed through challenge questions rather than an open contact exchange.

Outcome

• Submitted as the MSc dissertation at the University of South Wales.
